I mean, these were the people who rushed Zack into doing BVS, and then, when that didn't land with audiences at the GBO, they quickly interfered with Suicide Squad, which was supposed to be Steppenwolf and Dasaad manipulating Enchantress, and instead of the Puddies, we would have had Parademons. But they gutted all of that because they got cold feet. So Suicide Squad was fucked. And because of that, it failed at the GBO, so they once again knee-jerked and blamed Zack and started meddling in Justice League. When he had the unfortunate loss of Autumn, they used it as an excuse to get him gone. They brought in Whedon, who didn't have the slightest fucking clue of what was going on, and it showed. Everything after Justice League, with rare exception, was shit. All because of WBD's own incompetence at the executive level. The worst thing they ever did was let Zack do his cut for HBO Max. It did them no favors and showed Zack's vision was vastly superior. But they couldn't be patient and wait. They had to catch up with the MCU. Something they've never done, and never will do. Even with all the MCU's failures, the WBDCEU (everything except for Man of Steel, BVS: UE, Wonder Woman, Suicide Squad, Aquaman, and ZSJL) and even the DCU haven't even fucking come close.

Warner Bros. Discovery executives wanted to play catch-up to Marvel instead of letting Zack just build out his universe. They were knee-jerk reactionary to fan backlash at situations THEY caused. Their constant meddling led to multiple movies being scrapped, and plans shifted tremendously. They were so hellbent on playing catch-up, they didn't stop to think about the long-term. Their incessant meddling caused Zack to rush his timeline, cut planned movies completely, and condense them to try to be competitive with Marvel. They cut run times, did shitty edits for theatrical releases, and wanted reshoots done to be "more like Marvel." Instead of just doing their own thing, being happy to be different, and offering a darker, more adult-targeted series, they wanted family-friendly, MCU-type humor.

I actually met the parents. The dad was fucking DEVASTATED, but it seemed like a case where the mom kept Mike from the dad to punish the dad. The mom was an entitled cunt of a creature. Everything she wore was high-end couture, and she was the most insufferable twat. Felt for the dad. Not her. Clearly mom saw him as a meal ticket. That's why she and her posse mugged the grandma just selling memorial shirts of Mike, and took the money and shirts and said she'd be the only one to profit off her child's death. Such a disgraceful being.

I break it down very differently from most. Zack's Universe: Man of Steel, BVS: UE, Wonder Woman, Suicide Squad, Aquaman, ZSJL. Everything else was the WBDCEU, where they couldn't pick a tone and direction, and everything became a jumbled, fucked up mess. I put that at WBD's feet. Not Zack's. He had a map of progression for movies. It was the studio's constant interference and meddling that caused things to shift dramatically.

I think they'll convict him, and then they'll be light on the sentencing. Hopefully, the judge steps in and gives him life in prison. He knew what he was doing, went out of his way to be where he shouldn't have been, refused to leave, and then killed a kid. He made his choices. Now he pays.
