As a storyteller, I’ve always faced the same frustrating wall: I have countless worlds, scripts, and characters in my head, but my drawing skills (and availability) just couldn't keep up. For years, I dreamed of a place where anyone could bring a manga, webtoon, or novel to life without technical barriers or restrictive publisher filters. Since it didn't exist, I decided to build it alone. It’s called Whatoon, and I just launched the beta. I made a super quick video to show you how the platform and the built-in AI Assist studio work. That's why every AI-assisted work gets a clear, dedicated label. No hidden stuff, full transparency for readers. Creator-First Revenue: Independent artists deserve the lion's share. Creators keep 80% of their royalties, which is way higher than traditional platforms. And I am thinking of an advantageous tier for traditional artists Free Publishing & Freemium AI Tools: Publishing and reading on the platform is 100% free. Creating an account gives free keys (credits) to test and use the AI Assist studio. While heavy AI generation relies on a credit system to cover server costs, early members get special perks to keep creating for free. What I really like me with Krokut is how it runs production like a real studio. You start with an idea, then the pipeline takes over. Script, scenes, storyboard, shots, sound, render. One step at a time. Nothing moves forward until it makes sense.
