Audio tip of the day: Plosives sound bad. What is a plosive? A plosive is that harsh “pop” or burst of air you hear when someone says words with P, B, or T sounds too close to the mic — like “podcast,” “powerful,” or “boom.” How to avoid them: •Use a pop filter or foam windscreen •Speak slightly off-axis (angle your mouth a few inches to the side of the mic) projecting the breath away from the mic diaphragm. •Keep 4–6 inches of distance from the microphone #AudioTips #Podcasting

Best microphone for your #podcast ? It depends on your goals, the space you work in and your budget. That said, for the vast majority of podcasters I’ve worked with or consulted, the @shure USB-C Podcast mic series is the easiest, most affordable way to improve your audio quality.

If you are new to an audio skill (music, recording, podcast) and you want the work to be fun and good, hire a professional and save yourself months, if not years, of trying to figure out every skillset. This is the most useful piece of advice I could give anyone starting out.

@OpenAI Huge fan of the product. Still, it’s impossible for me to deny it feels downgraded in many ways. The previous version was more consistent, natural sounding and reliable, had more enthusiasm for conversation. The change still feels like something is off.
