Representative for Utah House District 63 – a conservative, principled leader representing Mapleton, Springville, and Spanish Forkcontent.govdelivery.com/accounts/UTHOU…Joined November 2021
What a privilege to help turn the soil at the groundbreaking for the expansion of Intermountain Health’s Spanish Fork Hospital. Five years after opening, it continues providing exceptional care close to home. The expansion adds 8 ER rooms, 2 operating rooms, and CT scanner room.
Even though the Legislature is not in session, I want to keep you informed of what is taking place on the Hill and in our local neighborhoods. Check out my May legislative newsletter: app.indigov.com/pub/outreach/6…
Happy Memorial Day. The permanent memorials in Mapleton, Springville and Spanish Fork beautifully capture the meaning of today and our eternal gratitude for our neighbors who came before us, who gave their last true measure of devotion so that we can have freedom today.
This week 1) Legislative interim meetings began to prepare for the 2027 General Session. Public involvement and input is invited. 2) Operational Gigawatt Summit convened energy experts, business leaders, policymakers to discuss affordable, reliable, clean, dispatchable power.
Two incredible elementary schools in one day. Sage Creek Elementary has a talented team of teachers. I loved teaching 5th graders about citizenship. Maple Ridge Elementary gave an epic sendoff for Principal Matis. After 11 years we hate to see her leave but friendships continue.
The annual Crossroads of the World International Trade Summit brought business leaders and policymakers together to discuss supply chains, trade policies and new markets. Utah exported $22.4B in goods in 2025, supporting $9.2B in GDP and 73,369 jobs.
Being at Davis School District’s “Voices of a Nation” was inspirational. Students shared perspectives on 250 years of America. They spoke of the foundational principles in America’s story: courage, sacrifice, resilience, and hope. Today I saw excellence in education.
Communities are strong because of volunteers. Mapleton’s theater held an astounding gala—such talent. Can’t wait for their June show, Cinderella. Today’s Fireman’s Breakfast had pancakes, family fun. The Fire Association supports local philanthropy. Thanks to all who build unity.

Thank you House District 63 for today’s vote of acclamation. I’m honored to be the Republican nominee on the November ballot. Thank you Utah County Republican Party for today’s convention. The miracle of America and Utah is that our government is, by, and for the people.
Honored to attend the White House State Leadership Conference in D.C. this week, representing Utah with Cabinet officials. I saw federalism in action—state and federal coordination. Advocating Utah’s views ensures our voice is heard in our nation’s Capitol.
Utah is again the #1 state for economic outlook—for the 19th straight year. Using 15 variables—taxpayer reforms, tax cuts, free-market policies & regulatory reform—Utah leads. Honored to represent HD 63 in D.C. championing policies that benefit all: bit.ly/3QfhZp2
Today is a great day for Utah Schools for the Deaf and Blind and Utah. Thanks to Gov. Cox for signing HB448, which I sponsored, into law. After a year of collaboration, it passed the Legislature unanimously. This ensures students receive the education and support they need.
Thank you to everyone who came to my post-legislative session town hall tonight from Mapleton, Spanish Fork and Springville. I loved being with you, visiting about the accomplishments of the legislative session, and listening to your feedback and recommendations going forward.
Tonight is our neighborhood Caucus meeting which only occurs every two years. It’s an easy opportunity to be civically involved. Our local Republican Caucus meeting information and easy-to-use, free, and quick way to register can be found here: reg.utgop.org
Everyone in House District 63, you are invited to my post-legislative session info meeting where I’ll provide a review of the recent session and be accountable to you. Here are the details. I’m looking forward to being with you.
Congratulations to everyone who participated in tonight’s Miss Springville/Mapleton Competition and a big congrats to Laynee Pace for being crowned 2026 Miss Springville/Mapleton. Thanks to all the volunteers and past Miss Springville/Mapleton’s from the last 30 years.
The 2026 Legislative Session adjourned at midnight tonight. Over the past 45 days, the Legislature and I worked on a comprehensive strategy to keep our state the best place to live, work, learn, and play. Check out my Week 7 legislative report: app.indigov.com/pub/outreach/2…
