Gurrelieder is an absolutely outstanding work. How he went from that to being hypnotized by his own hubris adopting 12-tone serialism is absolutely beyond me

Remember when they'd wheel a TV into class and you'd get a brief break from the hellscape prison that public school was by watching a show that pretends that school is a magical place where you can be adventurous and ask questions even though it's actually about rigid conformity?
Christians bringing up past sins to "own" Christians they don't agree with seems... un-Christian
One could argue it is satanic to try to destroy a fellow Christian because of their sins that Jesus has forgiven and that they have repented from
If any of you have source material on this one way or the other, I'd love it
I wonder if artists prior to 1900 actively saw themselves as part of a chain of being, part of a continuous tradition, or if it was just second nature.
We, post-art-movement-splinter, have to think about this on purpose. Around 1920, and again in 1960, the West purposefully threw prior art traditions in the trash. The only celebrated and approved art was that which put up a middle finger to their fathers. We live in a unique time.
The arts clearly need a revival, a resurgence, a renewal
It can't simply be "return" to a prior style. We are (and must be) products of our time.
But it also must pick up the crown that was left in the gutter in the early 20th century. It must pick up the torch and continue

It can't simply be "return" to a prior style. We are (and must be) products of our time.
But it also must pick up the crown that was left in the gutter in the early 20th century. It must pick up the torch and continue from a prior point.
There will inevitably be formation in the arts that comes from the splintered chaotic "art" of the moderns, but if it will be anything worthwhile going forward, it must go back and pick up the pieces of greatness that were discarded in the trash bin over the last 100 years.
The latest anti-Western Civilization conspiracy theories center around cities and cathedrals being "put here" by some advanced alien force, i.e. simulation theory
People will accept anything but the greatness and grandeur of ancient man, especially in the West.
One of Satan's mor desperate and clever lies is to seed the idea that he is in charge of Hell

Where does the water used to cool data centers go?
I'm sympathetic towards small communities that might get disrupted by the water draw of a data center, but I suspect that people think that water is a finite resource that gets "used up" by data centers
"Legalism" as a pejorative term today is actually perfectly suitable for those who would bind people unnecessarily to post-war liberalism as a layer above Christianity.
