I'd love it more than anything. But the way I see it, I don't think content silos help the business concept behind general-purpose social media like tweeter. Which is sort of funny, seeing that not long X went against their best interests and implemented some sort of preferencial algorithm based on region.

No one is asking for damages. Don't frame it like that. I can't believe I have to say this to what I think are the adults in the room: You aren't legally responsible, nor should you. But you should always take responsibility for your work and accept that criticism is a fair response. Fortunately most OSS maintainers do exactly that. They take full ownership of the work they put out. They don't tell people to stop criticizing because it's open source, and they don't tell people to donate or shutup. In fact, the rsync maintainer response was levelled, fair and brough NONE of those points. It's always the community of man-childs and sycophants that fall for the ragebait and come up with the most insane ivory tower theories for open source.

I did consider it. But ultimately, I couldn't justify paying 8 on top of the 21 I am already paying to OpenAI. And I think I only used grok once, anyways. I'm not counting pennies. At the end of the month, 8 euros won't make me poorer. But I am trying to reduce my financial footprint on the internet and I think X just doesn't offer enough on what it calls a "Premium" plan.

Cancelled my subscription today. My blue checkmark will be gone tomorrow. Looking at the features X offers for a "Premium" account, I cannot justify paying 8 Euros. It's a total nothing burger for accounts like mine who aren't interested in growing, grifting or content farming and just want to check what people are saying and speak my mind occasionally.

Gary Marcus is that type of insufferable idiot that likes to claim they said something before anyone else. In his case it's nearly pathological. He says e said the thing, but many times you can't find when he said the thing. And then keeps saying he said it first using lowbrow or completely unrelated correlations to newspieces. His entire tweet account farms content from this form of grifting.
