@_inside I heard in @stacktracepod that you are very diligent in cleaning your Macbook. What clothes / liquid do you use to clean the retina screen? I left mine dirty because I’m scared of scratching the screen while cleaning 😞

Effective engineers identify and tackle the biggest bottlenecks, even if they do not involve writing code or fall within their comfort zone. They proactively try to fix processes inside their sphere of influence, and do their best to work around areas outside of their control.

The next time you find yourself repeatedly going through the same motions..., pause. Take a moment to think through whether you might be able to tighten that testing loop. It could save you time in the long run.

In other words, using abstractions that helps you write less code on the top level is always better.

Less code is always better.

Implementing algorithms as generic protocol extensions: 1. Decouples it from data types, making testing easier 2. Minimises assumptions about the data, thus minimising bugs due to wrong assumptions 3. Allows you to build towers of abstraction by composing your algorithms
