@Bhoobtw I am saying a game should be designed around you not losing the an entire questline without you realizing it. You shouldn't ever feel like your only solution is to load. Lots of games do though.

If you give someone the ability to undo mistakes, they will. I think mistakes should have consequences that are "now deal with this" rather than "haha you're screwed now load" One of the problems I had with Baldurs Gate 3 was that the result of a failed roll was often so harsh that your natural reaction was to load, versus in real DnD where your DM makes your mistakes manageable because you can't rewind time.

@bashamuto8 if i miss a roll and have to find a new way to finish a quest thats fine. but missing a trap and your entire fucking party dies, or missing a skill check and getting locked out of an entire questline of content isn't stuff you just roll with. 90% of people load when that happens.

@Irehardt it could be just a preference thing. It felt extremely repetitive and shallow. I wasn't reacting to any enemies I fought with different tactics. The alchemy system was cool though, just not the actual attacking and dodging.

Witcher 3 is in my top 5 games of all time. Beat it on death march. The combat is pretty ass. The constant top tier writing is why its so good. You keep playing for the next part of the story not the next combat encounter.
